City & Guilds offers a range of qualifications contributing to the Government's Skills for Life strategy in England, including qualifications for both learners and practitioners. We also offer discrete qualifications for the equivalent national strategies in Wales and Northern Ireland; click here for information about these.
The learner qualifications are each assessed against the relevant national standards with content informed by the core curriculum. They enable candidates to get the literacy, numeracy, language and ICT skills they need for life and work. The qualifications range from Entry 1 to Level 2 of the National Qualifications Framework.
Our practitioner qualifications equip those teaching or supporting learners with the appropriate subject knowledge and appreciation of learners' needs. They cover the full range of subject specialist, subject support and learner support qualifications.
